Our first stop is the village of the Stone Carvers called Batu Bulan to witness the colorful and exciting Barong & Kris Dance that tells the story about the eternal fight between good and evil, A Hindu epic from the Mahabharata story.
After the performance, we will travel northeast, encompassing a cross-section of the entire island of Bali, from the palm-fringed shores of the lowlands to the towering mountains. We visit the famous village of the woodcarvers, to watch the workers enfolding the intricate designs from the many varieties of woods and a visit to the renowned village of silver and goldsmiths. We visit the Elephant Cave called Goa Gajah.
The next stop will bring you to Kintamani, to enjoy the spectacular views of Mount Batur with ribbons of black lava running down from peak into the valley below. The crater is holy and a sanctuary at the top dedicated to the fertility Goddess. Lake Batur lies serene and shimmering against the backdrop of the mountains.
